VOLUME is a network for voluntary and community organisations that work to benefit and improve the lives of children, young people, their families and carers in Caerphilly County Borough. Click here for the Terms of Reference

The voluntary and community sector play a key role in delivering high quality, appropriate and responsive services to children, young people and their families in Caerphilly. The network aims to create a collective voice for the voluntary sector by sharing good practice, indentifying gaps in service, responding to unmet needs and campaigning for better services.

 

The Network enables these groups and organisations the opportunity to;

  • Meet with other similar groups & organisations.

  • Discuss ideas and views.

  • Share knowledge of the work undertaken by organisations in the county.

  • Receive relevant information through regular newsletters and briefings.

  • Have access to information on funding, training, events and new initiatives.

  • Have representation on the multi-agency strategic planning groups.

  • Work collaboratively  

Membership of the network is open to all voluntary groups and organisations that provide services, support or work with children and young people and their families in Caerphilly Borough. Membership is free. Complete the application form

Every local authority is required by the Welsh Assembly Government to have a ‘Children's and Young People's Partnership' to undertake the strategic planning in the county for all services provided to 0-25 year olds, and to produce and drive forward a three year strategic plan for the delivery of services for children & young people in Caerphilly. VOLUME elects representatives to sit on the Children & Young People's Partnership Board and the planning groups that sit below this. The representative's role is to highlight the views, concerns and issues of the voluntary sector and feedback to members. Follow the links for

As part of their duties the VOLUME representative report back to the VOLUME Steering Group. Meetings are held bi monthly and the minutes of recent meetings are available here

In addition, the VOLUME Network has regular meeting at locations throughout the borough. The meetings are a mix of presentations, group work and networking opportunities. They also provide an opportunity for members to have feedback from their elected representatives on the work of the strategic planning groups and the Children & Young People's Partnership.
