VOLUNTEER ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS 2012
The closing date is coming up fast for nominations to the 2012 Monmouthshire GAVO Volunteer Achievement Awards. Nominations need to be received at the GAVO office in Llancayo Court by the 16th April 2012 at the latest. Click here for an on-line copy to complete. They can be e mailed or posted to Kim Boucher, the Administration Manager in Monmouthshire – the address is on the form. Volunteers are often the life-blood of many organisations, and it is very humbling to hear the stories of what volunteers do. If you know a volunteer who deserves a big thank you for the work that they have been doing, then please nominate them for an award.

Project summary
Working through the media of music and in particular the guitar, alongside our own established programmes, Morphious will deliver an innovative structured programme of tailored workshops to individuals who recovering from the effects of substance misuse. The aim being to develop self belief, confidence, determination, and pride, along with the relevant skills to support a progression route to employment, voluntary work, work placements, education and further skills training. 8 week course to start in Merthyr Tydfil and Torfaen open to anyone that is not in receipt of JSA.
