MONMOUTHSHIRE
MENTAL HEALTH PARTICIPATION NETWORK
The Network provides the
opportunity for individuals, and carers, to get together
every month and talk about service issues that affect them
and proposals for improvement. The meetings, which usually
take place in Usk, last approximately one hour and travel
expenses can be re-imbursed. On occasions it can also meet
in Abergavenny and Chepstow. Refreshments are provided.
Parking for people with a disability is available.

MONMOUTHSHIRE
MENTAL HEALTH FORUM
The Forum meets on the
same day and immediately following the Network discussion.
It is also attended by Service Managers and Commissioners as
invited so that the issues brought forward from the Network
can be dealt with effectively. In addition it includes the
important function of feeding back information about what is
happening in service development. The meeting lasts about
one hour and travel expenses are available.

SPEAKEASY IN
MONS
SpeakEasy is an
Internet 'Blog' which also doubles as a web resource for
information, links, discussion and events. It contains a
substantial list of Help-Line information, and links to
sites for specific issues for young people, mature adults
and carers.
To reach the
'Blog' type 'SpeakEasy in Mons' into the Goggle search bar,
or use the advanced search facility. It also registers on
NTL Broadband and MSN. Try it, use it, send in your
comments on what is already there, and write your own piece
about anything to do with mental health.

LIBRARY AND
SELF HELP SERVICES
A resource of Books, CD-Roms,
Videos and DVD's supporting people with mental ill health
and their carers and families is available for individual
loan or discussion groups and is being continually
